Overview

Title:        Ergonomic Consultant

Location:  Lansing, MI

Status:     Hybrid

Hours:      PRN/Part-time as needed

 

 

This position incorporates project development, project implementation, internal and external client relations, education, and continuous improvement practices. Responsible for managing the project from inception, to define projects and drive them to completion. Including quality and safety auditing. Responsible for developing Ergonomic service line materials and training. Involved in the mentorship and development of Ergonomic Consultant 1. Travel up to 50% of the time may be required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to assigned projects by conducting pre-work screen, collect and document client site data and factors for appending JRA, PDA or Workstation Assessment (Lab and/or Office) reports as part of project deliverables.
• Develop and Validation Post-Offer Evaluations per project contract and train ATI staff on POE implementation.
• Develop and deploy role specific ergonomics training and/or lead cross functional teams and committees to execute on client’s program goals.
• Perform Ergonomic Program Gap Analysis including injury data analytics for the development of action items, key performance indicators, and driving continuous improvement.
• Develop strategic actions for direction of client’s ergonomics program and execute on actions as part of service level agreement and contracted project deliverables.
• Conduct project invoicing, document and maintain on financial tracker for visibility of monthly and annual business.
• Participate as an ergonomic mentor/advocate, guiding ergonomics staff to excel through training, self-study, and fostering standardization and alerting Industry Manger for critical performance issues.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Factors, Engineering, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, Ergonomics, Safety, Nursing or Allied Health Profession

• 3 years’ experience in an industrial setting
