The Senior Director Revenue Cycle Management acts as a strategic and operational leader for all revenue cycle functions and activities with the goal of optimizing revenue, building strong teams, and reducing costs at ATI. This key position also partners with leaders across the organization to drive technology and process improvements that improves revenue collection. This role will also coordinate all special projects within RCM, lead vendor management, co-manage RCM department administrative functions, and be the lead for all RCM related tasks due to DeNovo/M&A activity. This leader is the de Facto leader of RCM in the absence of the VP RCM.
• Assist the VP RCM with creating a best-in-class RCM function including, but not limited to strategy development, vendor relationship management, KPI creation and measurement, technology review, employee engagement and retention, and delivering on targets.
• Serve as a change agent leading enterprise-wide development and implementation of revenue cycle strategies that are optimal and consistent with best practice processes in healthcare.
• Serve as the Denials and Bad Debt management leader for the organization and leads the task forces. Communicate trends and shifts with finance and accounting, and partners with external departments to effect change in the denial and bad debt rates
• Oversee Invoicing functions and partner with AWS/ATI Direct/Sports Medicine leaders to ensure coordination and optimize the workflow to improve financial results for the organization within these patient types
• Co-manage the RCM budget with the VP of RCM. Own the month-end attestation process and ensure other RCM leaders are managing their budgets appropriately while identifying opportunities for cost savings.
