The HRIS/Payroll Analyst is an intermediate role within ATI’s HRIS team. The primary focus of this role is the support and maintenance of the Dayforce human resource management system (HRIS) and other HR systems supported. This position serves as a point of contact for assigned functional areas focusing on Payroll, Time & Attendance, and other HR modules and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, system configuration and maintenance, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS/Payroll Analyst also supports HRIS upgrades, patches, and other technical projects as assigned.
HRIS System Support and Maintenance:
• Configure and maintain the Payroll and Workforce Management System (Dayforce), including setup, policy adjustments, troubleshooting, and coordination with IT and vendors for system enhancements. Areas of focus include including paid time off, leave of absence administration, employee reimbursements, stipends, incentives and deferred compensation plans.
• Evaluate and enhance processes and controls, leading initiatives for automation, efficiency improvements, and best practices while managing competing priorities effectively.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and assist in the functional requirements to implement solutions to support activities related to project work plans
• Ensure system is set up to be compliant with all payroll-related legal obligations, including wage verifications, child support orders, garnishments, student loans, and the preparation of payroll data for audits, accounting, budget planning, and regulatory compliance reviews.
• Documents system specifications, configurations, systems enhancements, reports, and support procedures for HCM applications.
Other Responsibilities:
• Develops and documents data integrity protocols for HRIS and downstream applications. through data audits and validation methods to proactively identify discrepancies and missing data.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Total Rewards and other stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll processing, resolve payroll-related system concerns, and facilitate training and communications.
• Manage special assignments and projects related to payroll and other areas of HR as required.
Minimum Education
Required:
• Bachelor's degree with a concentration in HR, IT, Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Experience
Required:
• Three to five years’ experience configuring and/or implementing HCM systems such as Dayforce, ADP Vantage, UKG UltiPro, Paycom, Workday, etc.
• A minimum of 2 years supporting Payroll and Time & Attendance modules
Preferred:
• Experience with Dayforce strongly preferred
• Experience supporting other HCM tools such as, benefits, performance management, applicant tracking, and compensation planning tool.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Required:
• Solid understanding of relational database concepts and management.
• Advanced-level operating, maintaining and troubleshooting HR technologies.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes and legal requirements.
• Strong MS Office skills with advanced Excel working with Pivot Tables, Formulas, VBA and Macro.
• General understanding of time and attendance and payroll processing policies and procedures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of attention to detail
Preferred:
• Experience in report writing, querying using SQL and XML strongly preferred.
