Overview

The Telerehab Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients, establishing outcomes-centered plans, and delivering effective care management across a patient’s episode through all phases of occupational therapy to ensure timely, progressive and high valued care for those we serve leveraging ATI’s industry-leading Telerehab platform. The successful Telerehab Occupational Therapist operates at top of license, appropriately leveraging and delegating care amongst the care team, driving towards consistent and predictably positive outcomes for our patients, restoring patients to full functionality through an evidence-based customized occupational therapy regimen. Collaboration and encompassing a “team-player” mindset will facilitate alignment to ATIs broader mission as we are all “One ATI.”

Responsibilities

Patient Care Delivery
• Work independently with minimal supervision in remote setting utilizing Telerehab platform for care delivery and ATI systems for caseload management with expert proficiency.
• Complete clinical assessments and treatment of patients, establishing and delivering goal-based care plans aligned to ATI best practice and EBP to achieve predictable outcomes, meeting clinical standards on care delivery, performance and productivity. Implements regular objective reassessment points to track progress towards goal achievement and/or adjusts goals based on patients’ recovery trajectory.
• Provide the highest level of customer service and team engagement through strong communication, adaptability, and solution-orientated problem solving.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation same date of service.
• Complete documentation to establish and maintain patient care as appropriate including communication with other healthcare providers, referral sources, and payors.
• Supervise and mentor COTA and other members of the care team that is supervised by the Occupational Therapist
• Maintain licenses and requirements to provide care to patients in multiple states as assigned by the Virtual Operations Director.

Case Management
• Manages his/her Caseload effectively, across the spectrum of each patient’s plan of care.
• Ensure security of patient information and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
• Responsible for scheduling individual patients through plan of care, managing caseload, and supporting cross functional teams to ensure required documents for care are completed as needed.
• Communicate effectively and timely with patients, ATI care team members, and outside medical providers, providing education and support to empower patient recovery.
• Maintain and be available at all times during scheduled time through electronic communication.

 

Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM)
• Identify, establish, assign, plan, monitor, delivery of additional care resources utilizing remote therapeutic monitoring (RTM), a service that manages patient engagement and therapy adherence in real time, ensuring patient management and billing capture.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
Required:
• Doctorate, Masters, or Bachelors in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution (degree level pending timing of graduation)
Preferred:

 

Minimum Experience
Required:
• Clinical rotation in outpatient orthopedic occupational therapy
• 2 years experience as a licensed OT
Preferred:
• 3-5 years of experience as a licensed OT
• 1+ year experience providing OT in a virtual setting

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Must be skilled with technology and able to provide effective verbal, visual, and written feedback using a virtual platform
• Ability to multitask across multiple cases and episodes of care across various geographies
• Work with integrity, managing care responsibility and in compliance with state practice acts and payer requirements
• Basic technology troubleshooting with computer and software program efficiencies
• Strong and effective communication, adaptability, teamwork, and problem-solving skills for delivery of customer experience and engagement with other team members

 

Licenses and Certifications
Required:
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in home-state, and eligible for licensure in multiple states as needed, defined by ATI.
